Immersion Room

A Virtual Production Technology Startup in Toronto offering film services using our proprietary LED Volume. Using low-cost panels, custom software, and a scrappy attitude, we built a studio which continues to serve filmmakers, advertisers, and artists to this day.

I had the pleasure of leading our small team who took the single-machine proof of concept and scaled it up to work on a fleet of nearly 500 individual panels which were not originally built with synchronization in mind. Pursuant to this, we designed custom network protocols, custom software, and dealt with time-critical "filling-the-pipe" networking. In addition to providing guidance and authoring designs across our entire ecosystem, my individual contributions focused on the software responsible for dispatching the images.

Dealflo / IOCS Systems

A fintech startup providing auditable, replayable, bespoke electronic document signing ceremonies to banks, lenders, and insurers.

In concert with our CTO and Software Architect, I led the development of the second version of our main offering using microservices and led the charge on the main orchestration microservice. I became an informal leader as the new offering went from one developer to four teams, and leveraged servant leadership to ensure we hit our goals, and kept growing in the process. I led the push to OCI/Docker containers, and I created CICD pipelines of all of our microservices leveraging GitLab CI and helm to automate deployments to multiple staged environments.
