Personal Philosophy

Here are some things that I believe in personally and professionally

Servant Leadership

Leaders serve to enable, coordinate, and grow others. Leaders succeed only when those they lead succeed as well.

Growth drives productivity

People are most effective when they grow, learn, and contribute. When people are allowed to explore their own solutions, and are allowed to make mistakes, they grow. That growth means fewer mistakes in the long term. We reap what we sow.

"I Don't Know" are words of power

Honesty and humility when there is room to grow is critical for growth. You will hear me say these words of power frequently. I consider them a sacred mantra unlocking the power of knowledge for my future self. I consider them a sign of honesty in others, an offering to grow together.

Very Few Things in Life are Zero Sum

Searching for Win-Wins first with clients, colleagues, friends, family, and everywhere possible fosters environments where everyone gets more of what they need. Compromise is critical, and all things need balance.

Disagreements Are Not Moral Failings

People who disagree can still be kind, civil, and considerate to one another. Often listening to each other is the hardest part of finding common ground.
